Veronica S. Jung focuses exclusively on representing seasoned entrepreneurs and high-level professionals/executives.  She regularly advises clients in diverse industries in New York City, ranging from finance and media, to health care and fashion.  Ms. Jung's niche practice has developed a loyal following among clients who seek sophisticated legal counsel through unexpected crises involving the breakdown of work relationships and partnerships.  In particular, Ms. Jung effectively obtains robust compensation and negotiated exits for executive- and senior-level clients, and represents those who have been wrongfully terminated, harassed, and/or retaliated against in the workplace.

As a trial attorney with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., Ms. Jung co-managed trial teams & investigations for high-profile matters in Federal District Courts in various jurisdictions throughout the U.S. and U.S. territories. She has counseled & litigated on behalf of corporate and individual clients at large and boutique litigation firms representing Fortune 500 corporations, entrepreneurs, startups, and corporate officers facing complex litigation and/or investigations in connection with labor & employment claims, partnership disputes, government contracts, and intellectual property disputes. Most recently, at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, Inc., she served as the non-profit civil rights law firm's lead counsel in numerous impact litigation and class action matters involving New York state agencies and public officials.

Ms. Jung regularly mentors and conducts leadership development training for high school, college, and law school students from under-served communities. She has extensive experience in providing pro bono legal advocacy and representation to many low-income, often limited English proficient (LEP) residents of New York.  In the months following the September 11, 2001 attacks in downtown Manhattan, Ms. Jung volunteered with the American Red Cross as a Spanish and Korean interpreter for those survivors and victims' families seeking emergency relief services.

Owen H. Laird is dedicated to the practice of employment and civil rights law.  Over the course of his career he has assisted a wide variety of individuals to resolve their employment disputes, ranging from minimum wage employees to C-suite executives. With experience in nearly every sector and industry, Mr. Laird effectively leverages the facts and the law in order to obtain generous separation agreements for clients who face harassment and retaliation in the workplace as well as substantial awards for those who have already been terminated.

As a plaintiff-side employment litigator, Mr. Laird has handled hundreds of cases involving discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowers, FMLA and COBRA, as well as federal, state, and local wage-and hour laws.  He practices primarily in Federal District Courts both in New York and across the country, as well as in New York State courts.  Mr. Laird has achieved superb results for a range of professionals, including doctors, lawyers, architects, designers, and engineers, but has also achieved class- and collective-action resolutions for lower-wage workers.  Mr. Laird routinely deals with federal and state regulations concerning independent contractors and is prepared to address both traditional and non-traditional employment arrangements.

Beyond litigation, Mr. Laird is skilled in Alternative Dispute Resolution and has developed a practice which allows clients – both corporate and individual – to achieve their desired outcome prior to filing a lawsuit.  Mr. Laird has handled numerous arbitrations and mediations before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS and has also worked with dozens of solo mediators and arbitrators through third-party agreements and the mediation program of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
